Some History of the band
The PTO’s are a collaborative rock ensemble from Sydney Australia, founded by independent record label East Street Records. The band is made up of seven musicians, all of whom are part of other groups. Founding member Chris Manning describes the band as a project that was only supposed to last three songs, but for some reason is still going.
In 2020, Sydney based drummer Chris Manning had been working in Patient Transport with a colleague and during many shifts, came up with a bunch of ideas for songs based on real life events in the workplace. At some point during 2020, Chris decided to contact musicians on his label and see if they would be interested in becoming a part of the joke.
Members of the group state "The band was never meant to exceed one single, but after positive feedback was received from low socioeconomic fans, the band for no reason decided to continue." Over the years, The PTO's has maintained it's writing concepts and continues to release singles across streaming platforms.
